I first became fascinated with bees in 1952 ,at the tender age of four , when my father established two hives on our property. By the end of the summer I was mentoring with Baker, dad’s beekeeper and felt privileged to be able to turn the crank to the machine that would extract the golden honey from the combs harvested from our hives. I was amazed by the sweet sticky liquid that those little bugs produced . Miraculous !
Many years later I moved to my present farm in Southwest Wisconsin to raise a family away from the suburban environment and to get back to nature. While watching The Ag Station ,The Life of a Bee came on TV, I was taken back to my early youth and reinvigorated with the purpose of Nature by producing a product that was universal in its benefits to agriculture and mankind’s health as well as your table.
Today, our apiary has 60 hives that raise honey in the most pure environment possible. We use no chemicals on our properties and the bees feed off hard maples, basswood and other naturally occurring varietals like Sumac. We raise clover, buckwheat, alfalfa and wild plants that give the honey a rich color , botanicals and a unique flavor that you won’t find on your local stores’ shelves. With the harvest several thousand pounds that we extract and strain annually, we take great pride in each of the artisanal bottles that get shipped to your homes . We hope that every taste and scent of JB’s Bees Honey brings as much joy to your taste buds as the pride we took in producing it for you.
All of my products are packaged in glass. The glass container provides a better tasting honey and are reusable. ENJOY!
